Happy Birthday Cooper-Dooper!

I know, I know...2 posts in less than 24 hours! Feel free to scroll down to the Mother's Day post if you haven't read it, but Cooper takes center stage today!!!

We can't believe our sweet Cooper was born today, four years ago! While at some moments it seems like a decade ago, at least, other times he has simply grown right before our eyes. Which, I suppose he has! We are so lucky to have him and what a joy he is! He's the funniest kid I've ever met and he amazes us with the knowledge he already has. That kid's memory is as keen as a blood hound's nose, but without the scent trail. Even before he could walk or talk you could ask him "Cooper, where's your bear?" and he would go straight to it, under a pile of pillows in a room he hadn't been in since the week before. Since he was about 11 months old, he has collected and been obsessed with over 100 Hotwheels and Matchbox cars, but can also tell you WHO gave him almost every single one. If he ever asks you to find a specific car in the massive pile, never fear, he will find it...he doesn't even really need your help. Here's a photographic trip down memory lane...

May 19, 2005. All 8pounds, 15.9ounces of Cooper Edwin Webb, forceps bruises and chubby cheeks included.

The day we came home from the hospital. Sweet little Mama Bluegrass kept a close watch on the new family member.

Cooper's first birthday was a combination birthday party and the 4th annual (and last!! My fault!!!) Family Picnic. For the record, he DID not dive into the cake, he took one taste and burst into tears. His hatred for sweet icing has since changed, fyi. This was also when I was about 10 weeks pregnant with Kendall.

The Circus Party, Year Two. Our front yard was turned into a circus the Ringling Brother's would be jealous of!

Cooper's third birthday party was combined with his BFF Cody's birthday, too. For those of you that live under a rock, Cody is Cooper's best friend, the son of Julie, who I began school with at Fort Craig some 26+ years ago. we now live next door to each other and the boys were born ONE day apart. Cooper the 19th and Cody the 20th. If this isn't the makings of a 2nd generation friendship for life, I don't know what is.

I'm sure we'll post pictures of Cooper's big day...or week...soon. We have lots planned for our Big Boy and it won't end until Memorial Day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOP!!!
